WHO I AM
I was never an athlete and I hated gym class as a kid. I found fitness after graduating from college when I realized my unhealthy lifestyle of fast food and lack of exercise were taking a toll on my body. I hired a personal trainer and fell in love with strength training and the confidence it created for me. However, it led to years of counting calories, restricting my food, and feeling overwhelmed by fitness and nutrition. I have since learned to listen to my body and now take a more mindful and purposeful approach to eating and exercise. I became a Personal Trainer and Nutrition Coach so that I can help others feel more confident and improve their lifestyle without feeling deprived or exhausted.
I love hiking, traveling, the ocean, and listening to music. I live in Portland with my husband, our snuggly cat, and our clumsy German Shepherd. I could probably eat pizza every day (but I don't). And I'll eat almost anything if it has Frank's Red Hot on it. Or peanut butter.
